![]() Thief can even go and trade with the npc again (not the stolen items tho. Search only happens once so you won't be asked again afterwards. To avoid this the thief goes alone and as soon as he is done have him run away a small distance, meanwhile let your other party members to be searched - since they are clean nothing will happen. ![]() In this case they can almost always be bribed for a small amout (100-200) since they don't care so much for other peoples items.Ĥ) enjoy the easy money, legendary loot from traders in driftwood. This makes sneaking easier and pick-pocketing also as you have more time to see all of the items avaliable.ģ) If your party members have equiped stolen items, doesn't matter who searches you, they will see that you have been up to no good. Thief can even go and trade with the npc again (not the stolen items tho.)Ģ) To make it easy have one or more people from your party talk to the npc so they don't walk around and don't change thei sight lines. Search only happenes once so you won't be asked again afterwards. The npc will turn to your party and if you are all "chained" together the "let me check your bags" will be trigered on all of your party. ![]() This is what trips you up - all npcs will notice that they have been pick-pocketed. I am here to explain it:ġ) have one thief and make sure he is not as a part of a party when you steal (he is NOT chained so as to move together with others) They figure they can live with it as is.Some people don't seem to understand how stealing works in D:OS2. Studios often release their movies with known mistakes or inconsistencies in them just for the simple fact that sometimes it is just too much hassle or expense to reshoot a scene. Or maybe it's just too big of a project for them to fix or implement a different system. Maybe thievery the way it works, people using the exploit is acceptable to Larian. My only answer to if it was an exploit they would have fixed it by now is, they just don't always fix exploits. I've played a lot of games as i'm sure most of us have, and this just feels like an exploit to me. Running is maybe a liitle more acceptable, but once again if you don't have an ally talking to them although it's been a while for me since i haven't used the companion distraction method, you have to pickpocket quickly before they are alerted i seem to remember. You can pickpocket in broad daylight so to speak, with people near you just not facing directly at your position, quite a lot of anything really if your thievery skill is high enough. This is why i believe thievery seems a little off. Kinda annoying during act1, but once you get respec mirror you can have a thieving-spree for all 4 members of your party, each taking gold from the same vendor. You can steal from them at level 4 for new skills, then again with another character. To me this is an exploit, the having a companion lock them with conversation, same as running. The 'lock' for pickpocketing is character specific. You can even have an ally talking to the merchants, to make it stupidly easy(unless people are counting that as an exploit?). More than enough time to get a good distance, or transfer the items to your other party members. After you steal, you have a few seconds to run away before they even start looking for you. Thievery is always good, whether you are stealing from enemies, or merchants. We have also added Brazilian Portuguese, so youll now be able to. ![]() I never knew of any exploit, nor do I see the need for any kind of exploit to be abused.
